BLOCKS PER SECOND
parallel blocks · GHOSTDAG BlockDAG

Kaspa confirms many blocks in parallel rather than in a single chain. Each square below is a block the network just produced.

DAG tips now The number of "tip" blocks at the front of the BlockDAG — blocks that haven't been built on yet. In Kaspa's parallel structure, multiple tips coexist and all get included.
DAA score DAA = Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm score. Kaspa's internal clock — it counts accepted blocks and is used instead of timestamps for ordering. Think of it as Kaspa's block height equivalent.

HashrateThe total computing power miners are spending on Kaspa right now (in PH/s = petahashes per second). Higher = more secure network, harder to attack. The trend arrow shows whether hashrate is rising or falling over this session.

Block rewardHow many new KAS a miner earns per block found. Kaspa uses a "chromatic halving" — the reward drops smoothly every month instead of a sudden halving like Bitcoin.
drops monthly (chromatic halving)
Next reward reductionCountdown to the next monthly emission reduction. Unlike Bitcoin's 4-year halving, Kaspa reduces the block reward by ~1/12th root of 2 every month — a smooth, predictable decrease.
emission halves ~1/2^(1/12) per month
Halving calendarThe next 6 monthly reward reductions. Each month the block reward is multiplied by ½^(1/12) ≈ 0.9439. Dates are approximate — based on the current reward and the chromatic halving formula.
DifficultyHow hard it is for miners to find a valid block. The network adjusts this automatically to keep ~10 blocks per second regardless of how much mining power is active. Rising difficulty = more miners joining.

Price · BTCHow much Bitcoin one KAS costs. Rising = KAS outperforms BTC; falling = KAS underperforms. Useful because BTC is the reference currency most crypto traders benchmark against.

Total headersTotal block headers the network has ever processed — including red blocks not selected as the main chain. Always larger than blockCount and shows the true scale of Kaspa's BlockDAG activity.

Median block timeThe median timestamp of the last 2,641 blocks — Kaspa's internal clock for ordering the DAG. If this matches real time closely, the network is healthy and producing blocks on schedule.

What makes Kaspa unique?A quick introduction to Kaspa's core innovations for visitors who are new to the project.

GHOSTDAG / BlockDAG — Unlike Bitcoin where only one block per ~10 minutes is accepted, Kaspa accepts all blocks created simultaneously. This is possible through the GHOSTDAG protocol, which orders parallel blocks mathematically. Result: 10 blocks per second without sacrificing security or decentralisation.

Proof of Work — Kaspa uses the kHeavyHash algorithm, deliberately ASIC-friendly. This means professional miners provide long-term security, just like Bitcoin. No proof-of-stake shortcuts.

Chromatic halving — Instead of a sudden halving every 4 years (like Bitcoin), Kaspa reduces the block reward by ½^(1/12) every month — a smooth, predictable emission curve toward a hard cap of ~28.7B KAS.

Fair launch — No premine, no ICO, no investor allocation. All KAS was and is earned through mining.

Rust implementation — The node software (rusty-kaspa) is written in Rust, known for memory safety and performance. The codebase is open source.

Security budgetWhat miners earn per day securing the network (block reward × 10 blocks/s × 86,400 s × KAS price). The annualised figure as % of market cap shows how much the network "spends" on security — higher = harder and costlier to attack.

KRC-20 tokens Tokens built on top of Kaspa using the KRC-20 standard — similar to ERC-20 on Ethereum. Anyone can deploy a token. Most are community/meme projects; none have guaranteed value. Click a column header to sort.

Proof-of-Work peers Proof-of-Work coins use real computing power (miners) to secure the network — like Bitcoin. Kaspa is PoW but much faster, with a BlockDAG instead of a linear chain.

Layer-1 peers Layer-1 networks are base blockchains that process transactions directly. Kaspa competes here as a fast, scalable L1 — but is unique in being PoW while most others use Proof-of-Stake.

Market signals Technical indicators computed from KAS's daily closing prices over the past year (via CoinGecko). These describe recent price behaviour — they are not predictions and not financial advice.

How KAS has been trading lately — momentum, trend, volatility and how tightly it moves with Bitcoin.
RSI · 14-dayRelative Strength Index — momentum on a 0–100 scale. Below 30 is traditionally "oversold" (price may have fallen too fast), above 70 "overbought" (may have risen too fast), 30–70 is neutral. A signal, not a guarantee.

Volatility · 30-dayAnnualised standard deviation of daily returns over the last 30 days. Higher = larger day-to-day price swings. Crypto typically runs far higher than stocks (which sit around 15–20%).
